It's Time to Clean House!

R + D = A Clean SG

We Commit to:

1. Serving the Students

Student Government will be more fiscally responsible.  More money will be given to student organizations and entities such as Homecoming, Campus Activities Board, the University Lectures Series, Campus Recreation, Volunteer USF, and other areas of student interest. Less money will be allocated for unnecessary cabinet positions that are useless to students. We will also be holding frequent town hall meetings where students can voice their concerns.

2. Lobbying for More Flexible Scheduling

Having to attend classes five days a week is not conducive for a college student's packed schedule. Many students are involved in many areas of campus life such as sports and volunteering. In addition, most students also have to work and cannot attend class five days a week. This also causes students to have to come to campus more often, which is not conducive for commuters. We will lobby for more flexible scheduling that will better suit the students' needs.

3. Lobbying for More Parking in Greek Village

There are currently more students living in Greek Village than there are parking spots available. These students have paid for a Greek Village Parking Pass and are not guaranteed a spot anywhere near where they live. The only other place these students can park is in one of the Park and Ride Lots. This is not only unfair, it can also be unsafe at night when a student may have to walk to their car. We will lobby for more parking in the empty areas behind Greek Village to accommodate it's residents.

4. Helping Create A Safer USF Community

We want you to spend more time at USF doing the things you enjoy. You are not going to do that if you do not feel safe on campus though. We want to improve your experience at USF by helping you feel safer while you are here. We will lobby for the implementation of more lighting, as well as more emergency blue light phones. We will promote safety awareness on campus by having more information available to you as well as having safety and self defense classes available. We will also lobby for improved safety technology systems on campus, so that if there is an emergency, you can be aware and will know how to keep yourself safe. We want you to be able to spend time as USF, as well as the surrounding areas, without being fearfiul.
